Special Awards for Cadets -- New information on various special awards that are available for our cadet members is available from National Headquarters. See the new link in our Resources page. Awards include the Air Force Association and AF Sergeant's Association Awards, the VFW Awards and more. National Award Nominations are due by 29 January 2008. Region Level awards (Commander's Commendation, Meritorious Service and Exceptional Service) are due no later than 1 February 2008. Wing Level awards are due 15 February 2008.
Cadet Leadership Training for 2008 – Nebraska Wing Cadet Programs is proud to announce that we have expanded our leadership training to include NCOs and Airmen! What was the Cadet Command and Staff School is now the Nebraska Wing Cadet Academy. It will include the Cadet Command and Staff School, along with an NCO School and Airman Leadership School, with a Training Leaders of Cadets course for the seniors. Please attend Wing Conference to hear all of the details.
Encampment news – This year we are hosting our own encampment that is also to be the North Central Region Encampment. It will be commanded by Lt Col Dave Waite of Offutt Composite Squadron. For more information, the enampment information is ont eh front page of our website, or at http://newg.cap.gov/encampment. Cadet Staff applications are due 28 February 2008 to the Nebraska Wing Headquarters.
Wing CP Web Pages – A reminder that you can find our home page here. Please bookmark this home page and check back periodically as we are updating information here as we get it. The “What’s New” listing on the home page will have red tags added to mark the pages that have new information. Please use this resource! If you have questions about anything, check here first as you may be able to easily and quickly find your answers.
Of course, our door is always open if you are unsuccessful in finding what you need on the web. We only intend for the webpage to be a better and faster way for us to make announcements and bring the various resources on the web together in one place for you.
